So you want to become a copy writer. To become a copy writer you must first know how to write. I'm sure many of you do. However these days you must be able to write for the search engines as well because most clients will use their copy online.
You can take a college class, online course or read plenty of copy writing book. But to actually be a copywriter you will have to do a job and get paid. The only way to test your ability is to get yourself out there. I wasn't a copy writer until I decide I was one. I have been writing for years and have been asked to write content for various purposes.
I have taking courses online but the real training is the responses you receive when you turn in a copy writing job. My best advice to you is to welcome criticism: even to the point that you are thanking your client for them. The potential client that will take the time to ask for correction are the ones that make you better.
